MS Excel : Copy with the OFFICE CLIPBOARD


With Office 2007, you can place content in a
storage area called clipboard and paste the
Content in Excel or another Office application. Cut
and the copied content remains in the Clipboard until
Close all Office applications. Office clipboard can
Store up to 24 cut or copied items. All items in
the clipboard is available to paste it into a new
location in Excel or in another Office document.

The Clipboard is not visible until you access it. In
Excel, access the Clipboard by clicking on the launcher
in the Clipboard group on the Home tab. You can use
the Clipboard to store a range of cells. The office

values, but the formulas in the cells are not included
when you hit

After pasting an item from the Clipboard, Excel
provides the menu of the Paste Options icon. You can use
the menu to choose if you want to use the
source format or destination format in

The content is pasted into the new  Location.  In the Paste Options icon menu, choose  yes keep the format of the  copied item or change it to match the  Formatting the new location. the  the default is to match the format of  new location. Press Esc to accept the  default and delete the menu.

Did you know

To copy a range of cells within or between worksheets,
click and drag to select a series of cells and then
click on the Copy button on the Home tab in the
Clipboard group To paste the range, navigate to
worksheet to which you want to copy the range,
click on the cell where you want the range to start,
and click Paste on the Home tab on the Clipboard
group.


Did you know

To prevent the Clipboard Task Panel from occurring unexpectedly
that appears while copying, open the panel,
click on the Options button in the lower left corner and select
Pick up without displaying the Office clipboard.
